Weekend recap

Hola!  How was your weekend?  Happy Mother’s Day to any mommas out there.  Hope you all got to spend some time with loved ones this weekend.

We had a great weekend over here.  The hubs was actually home a lot (he has worked a lot of weekends recently) and it was awesome to get to spend more time all together.

Saturday started with a lovely breakfast, that I forgot to take pictures of, with my in-laws.  It was so nice to spend some time together and catch up.  Afterwards I was off to teach class, I had an obstacle course style workout planned, which I thought was a blast!

Saturday afternoon I introduced my little dude to Chutes and Ladders while the little miss was asleep.  We didn’t quite make it through a game, but it was so fun to spend some time connecting with him one on one.

I also got to open some early Mother’s Day presents from the babes.  Handmade kiddo presents just melt my heart.  I was emotional opening them and I get misty eyed every time I have caught a glimpse of them since.  They are just the best!

Sunday morning I had every intention of sleeping in, but ended up being the first person in the house up.  Fortunately there was coffee and these beauties to start my day with.

The hubs made homemade crepes with strawberries, whip cream and sausage.  It was amazing, such a special and decadent meal to start the day!

After breakfast we hit up the farmers market.

Those chips on the right are made out of beets.  We didn’t end up bringing any home today, but we maybe headed back for some soon.  They taste awesome, and are low cal and low sugar.  We did end up bringing home some of those cherries though, as well as a delicious smoked white cheddar.

Sunday afternoon/evening was spent enjoying a lovely dinner with my parents, and celebrating my awesome mom.

What were the highlights of your weekend?  I was so happy to get some down time with the hubs and kids, and to celebrate my beautiful mom and MIL.  I also spent some time playing with some peach recipes, more on that later this week.

Hope you have a great day!
