Friday favorites!

We made it to Friday!  How was your week friends? Thank you for the congrats on my 100th post, I feel like I am still learning and barely getting started, but loving every minute of it!  Thank you for joining me!  This week was a pretty mellow one over here.  The kiddos and I are feeling much better now (I don’t think I mentioned that they shared last week’s cold with me), but we took things pretty easy for a couple extra days.

This week was a pretty mellow one over here.  The kiddos and I are feeling much better now (I don’t think I mentioned that they shared last week’s cold with me), but we took things pretty easy for a couple extra days.

Per usual, I wanted to share some favorites from the week.  Starting with this life elixir.

Normally we just make drip coffee each morning, but I thought this would be nice while we were at the cabin. It ended up being even nicer as we started the week a little less than rested.

I have also been loving this mascara. I have pretty sensitive eyes and most of them start to irritate me by the end of the day, this one doesn’t bug me and makes my lashes look long and full.

I, like lots of other folks, also had a great time nerding out over the eclipse this week.  My super awesome boss brought in glasses, so we were able to take a little break to check it out. It was pretty cool to see.

This week I also got to enjoy a tasty dinner out with a friend.  We went to Twisted Tandoor, which started as a food truck and then opened a brick and mortar location.  I had been craving Indian food and it definitely hit the spot!

Over dinner, we had a fun little chat about Game of Thrones and I was introduced to this weekly Funny or Die segment, it had me cracking up (thanks, Tiff!).

This weekend I am looking forward to our fantasy football draft (the hubs has been running a league for a few years now), I am not exactly the most knowledgeable league member, but usually, try to have some sort of draft plan.  This year I have done no preparing at all so we will see how this goes.  My grandparents are also coming to visit, which I am super excited about!

Now your turn. What was one of your favorites from the week? Are you a football fan? Any draft suggestions for me?

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. I’m sorry you got your kids cold! Hopefully you’re feeling better. I don’t eat Indian food but the bread (naan?) that is in your picture looks delicious!

Whenever I do any sort of bracket or fantasy league I just pick random people for the fun of it. Have a great weekend 🙂

  2. I have been craving Indian food too lately! Give me all the Naan. My husband doesn’t love it as much as I do though, so I should wait for a time when he’s gone. Happy Weekend!
