Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!!!! We made it friends (if your week is not Monday-Friday, I hope your Friday comes soon).  How has your week been?  Other than feeling endless, I really don’t have too many complaints about this week.  I have been enjoying the (very) slightly cooler weather and trying not to rush the last of summer in my excitement for fall.  This has been kind of hard this week since fall stuff seems to be everywhere.  It is fall in stores already for sure.

Per usual, I thought I would share some favorites of the week today.  I would also love to hear about your current favorites, so please play along in the comments.

First up, Nutella! I hadn’t had Nutella in probably a couple of years, but got a jar on Monday and have not been able to stay out of it this week.  Why is it so good?!?

In pending fall related goodness, I have been enjoying a spoonful of this Pumpkin Chai Latte mix in my coffee each morning. It is delicious! Also, my Trader Joe’s carries it year round.

I was super excited to see Dia de los Muertos decorations out at Cost Plus this week.  I have mixed feelings about how early the Halloween stuff comes out each year, but I have a real soft spot for Dia de los Muertos stuff.  I have dreams of decorating my whole house with it one day. So really, I consider it all the time stuff.

Not necessarily an awesome thing, but a “this is life moment,” my child put a sock in my tea this week.  He didn’t seem to understand why I might take issue, or not want to drink the tea after.  Fortunately, there was still plenty of (sock free) tea to be had and there were no resulting spills to clean up.

Around the Internets, I have enjoyed the following:

I am probably going to live forever: Coffee can increase life expectancy.

Protein cookie dough made out of chickpeas? This looks like a snack I need in my life.

I have not actually seen What the Health on Netflix yet, but I feel like I learned so much about health and nutrition from reading Kelli’s review and some of the related articles attached.

Now your turn! What did you enjoy this week? Do you have a three-day weekend coming up? Any big plans? We have a couple of friend dinners planned, which I am really looking forward to. We are working on a couple little things around the house, so hopefully knocking a few things off my to-do list.  I am also looking forward to some OrangeTheory, and maybe a yoga class (fingers crossed).  I will be taking Monday off but will be back on Tuesday.  You can always catch me on Facebook and Instagram as well.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. YES I love Nutella! I haven’t had it in forever because the jar usually lasts all of 3 days..I can’t stop eating it!
Hope you enjoy your 3 day weekend 🙂

  2. I love chai tea. I think I’ll pick up the pumpkin version next time I’m at Trader Joe’s! How funny that your kid put a sock in your tea and seemed to think it was normal to drink it afterwards. I guess the big plus to that was you didn’t have to clean up a spill. Enjoy your long weekend 🙂

  3. Sock in the tea huh? LOL!
It’s been way too long since I’ve had nutella too.
Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. I hadn’t bought it in ages because I will eat it by the spoonful and it also makes me want to buy croissants to eat with it. It has been a great treat for me this week though. Also, yea to coffee!!! Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. I need to look for that Chai Latte mix next time at Trader Joe’s! I don’t usually have Nutella but I did find a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Peanut Butter Spread by PB Crave at Aldis today. Super yummy!

  5. We don’t have a Trader Joe’s by us, but I’m going to pick up some of that Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte Mix the next time we drive by one. That sounds delish!

  6. I bought my first Halloween decorations of the year about 3 weeks ago, and the cashier looked at me like I was crazy! But I loooove Halloween! This weekend, I’m loving checking a couple of big things off my summer bucket list before summer is gone… drive-in on Friday and sailing today! Happy Labor Day!
