Happy Fri-Yay! How are you today? Excited for the weekend? I know I am. This has been a week of highs and lows. With what happened in Vegas at the beginning of the week, I know I have been hurting along with many, many others. It has definitely been a week that I have spent hugging my loved ones extra close.
This week I have been enjoying a lot of reading. I started Stephen King’s new book for my book club and have been pretty sucked in. I love Stephen King’s writing style. He wrote this book with his son, which I also thought was pretty cool. I also just got Body Love in and am looking forward to starting it this weekend.
Yesterday, after a pretty weak sleep night, I decided to treat myself to Starbucks breakfast. I almost always go with the traditional protein box but decided to branch out and try BBQ chicken sandwich one. It was pretty good. On the side, I went with my current fave of a venti iced coffee with a single pump of pumpkin spice.
On the workout front, I did both of my weekly Orangetheory classes this week (Monday and last night) and was feeling great in them! My running paces have been slowly improving and it feels great to be able to have a measurable improvement. It has also cooled off enough in the evening to enjoy some outdoor activities, and I was able to take a nice, long walk with a friend Tuesday. Which is one of my favorite ways to catch up.
The hubs also surprised me with this awesome sugar skull plant holder and a dark chocolate bar. I was thrilled, chocolate is always welcome and this guy is a perfect addition to my collection.
Jen’s Coconut curry cauliflower bisque looks absolutely amazing.
I have also been meaning to make this broccoli polenta for a couple of weeks now.
Anne’s article earlier this week about feeling like an imposter really spoke to me as well as it is something I have definitely wrestled with.
What were some of your highlights from the week? Any fun weekend plans? We have all the usual stuff, and hopefully some fun fall activities. I am hoping to get pumpkins to decorate with the babies.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
