Happy Monday friends! How was your weekend? We had a pretty good one over here. I feel like we were running from activity to activity though. All fun stuff, but I kinda feel like I need a day off now lol.
Friday evening the kids and I hit up Costco (PSA: they have giant jars of almond butter for $6.99).
Saturday morning I taught my class and then we spent the morning busting through some projects around the house. My parents came to visit and help out and brought me this awesome looking bottle of wine. I have not opened it yet, but I love the label.
After nap time, we headed over to some friends’ house for their son’s birthday party. The kids had a great time playing and jumping in the jumping castle while the parents hung out. We all enjoyed some cake and ice cream with the birthday boy before calling it a day. That ice cream was cotton candy flavor, and pretty delicious. I don’t normally go for flavors like that, but was glad I tried it.
Sunday was another full day. My in-laws were kind enough to watch the babies for a couple of hours so the hubs and I could run some errands (parent dates for the win!) early in the day. Then we scooped up the kids to take them to a school information fair and trick or treating event. We still have some time before we are picking schools, but I’m a planner and like to know what is out there. It was an awesome event. I learned about a lot of local programs I was not aware of, and the kids and got to enjoy another jumping castle. They also enjoyed trick or treating at the booths and I am now enjoying “helping” them with their fun size treats. Is it just me, or does candy taste better in fun size? I also scored this super cute tote bag, which I think I will get some use out of. I am really glad we checked out the event!
After the school fair, we went home and I got ready for book club. We read Sleeping Beauties by Stephen and Owen King. I enjoyed the book, but as always, the company and food were the main attraction. My contribution was these chicken parmesan sliders. They were tasty, I made a tray for the hubs and kids as well and they were big fans.
The rest of Sunday evening was spent cleaning and getting ready for the week. All in all, while it was a whirlwind weekend, we had lots of fun though and got quite a bit done. I did not get much in workout wise, but Tuesday is the start of Orangetheory’s hell week, so I should have plenty of workouts on the horizon this week.
How was your weekend? What do you have on the agenda for this coming week?
Hope you have a great day!
