Hey guys! How was your weekend? How is it Monday already? I feel like the weekend just flew by. While it flew by, we did have less scheduled than we’ve had the last couple weekends, and I feel like I got to get caught up on life a little bit.
Friday kicked off with an after work/school trip to Chuck E. Cheese with a friend and her boys. I was a little nervous about going to Chuck E. Cheese outnumbered by little guys, but we go there before the dinner crowds and our little brood was well-behaved and easy to keep track of. After getting home, I headed to an evening Orangetheory Class, while the hubs took over bedtime routines. The evening ended with a little TV time with the hubs and this little guy.
Saturday morning started out extra nice because the hubs let me sleep in until I woke up on my own around 6:30 (that is late in my house). When I woke up, I was greeted by this pleasant surprise, the hubs made breakfast!
Most of the rest of that day was spent on chores and playing with the kiddos. We did some serious creating with Playdoh and I gave the kitchen a good scrub down. I also tried out grocery delivery for the first time. Safeway was running a promotion for first time delivery with free delivery and 20 dollars off. I think it is still available on their website if you live near a Safeway and want to try it out. The grocery delivery was great, I was a little concerned about how the produce would look because I tend to be very particular when picking out produce. But they followed all my requests and everything was just as I would have selected it.
It was just me Saturday evening, so after the babies were tucked in, I enjoyed a face mask and watched the first two episodes of Stranger Things season 2 (so good).
I also earned this breakfast after. I love sautéed cabbage. I also think it is awesome with eggs, though I’m alone in my house on this one. Both the kids and the hubs turned their noses at my breakfast.
The rest of the am was spent at home, hanging out and doing chores. During nap time, I ran a couple of errands and couldn’t resist picking up our favorite giant pretzel for an afternoon snack to share with the babies.
Later in the afternoon, we headed out to a Halloween Carnival at Trail Dust Town, which is a local favorite and the same place we attended an Oktoberfest at a couple of weeks ago. The kids had a wonderful time on the rides and trick or treating.
The day ended with a lovely Blue Apron meal prepared by the handsome hubs. Sorry, this is not a very good picture, but it was a delicious meal.
How was your weekend? Do you sleep in on the weekends? What is sleeping in for you?
Hope you have a great day!
