Happy Friday friends!! How are you today? Sorry for the disappearing act yesterday. It was a busy day and by the time I had a moment to sit down and write, it was too late for me to put together anything worth reading.

Part of the reason I have been so busy recently is because I was trying to squeeze some study time in, in preparation for the group fitness instructor exam. I decided on this program both as a continuing education course for my personal training certification, as well as for professional development. I am happy to say that I took my test and passed! So that is definitely a favorite of the week.

Have you seen the Girl Scouts out and about selling cookies yet? My coworker’s daughter is selling them so I had to pick some up. I am all about Samoa’s, but the hubs is team Tagalong all the way.

I have been eyeing the Clarisonic facial spin brushes for ages, but just hadn’t been able to justify the cost when my current skincare routine has been working for me. I stumbled on this spin brush at CVS, where it was priced at $10.00, but on sale for $5.00.  I have been loving it!  I use it a few times a week with my regular cleanser and it is a great, gentle exfoliator. My face always seems so soft and smooth after.  Amazon has the Spin Spa for just under $12.00 if you want to give it a try.

From around the web:

I cannot wait to try these Chocolate coconut flour waffles from Hungry Hobby. They look so good, and that peanut butter drizzle!?! Yes, please!

Heather suggested this Coconut curry noodle bowl to me last week, and it is exactly my type of dinner. Thanks for the awesome suggestion!

I am a sucker for DIY beauty products, this Coffee sugar scrub from Katie’s Kottage looks like the perfect way for my coffee loving heart to pamper my skin.

Now your turn (I love hearing about your favorites), what’s a favorite from your week? Do you have a favorite Girl Scout cookie? Samoa’s have long been my favorite, but I feel most nostalgic about Thin Mints.

Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you! I actually have been teaching a strength circuit class, so it’s more just professional development at the moment, I’d love to eventually teach spin and yoga as well. Hope you have a great weekend as well!

  1. Congrats on passing your exam!!! Also, I’ve always been hesitant about using a facial spin brush thinking it would be too harsh on my face. I have dry skin. I’m still on the fence. And I’ve been avoiding my coworkers and those cookies. Hahaha. I’m looking to try the coffee scrub you suggested. I am a coffee fan, and what better way to add it to another routine.

So I wanted to give you a heads up on my find this week and maybe your readers will enjoy…

    — The UpCircleSeven yoga wheel. Inexpensive and durable. Great for easing your yoga poses or even just stretching out your back. I just got it and I’m loving it.

This was a fun read. Thanks and TGIF!!!

    1. I always freeze my thin mints as well, they are so good that way. Hope you have a great weekend as well!

  2. Congrats on passing the exam! That’s so exciting Emily!
Girl Scout cookies are amazing. A part of me wants to find someone selling them but my wallet is saying that I’m good without them. My personal favorite are Thin Mints and Tagalongs. Have you had frozen Thin Mints? So delicious.

    1. Thanks!! I also freeze my thin mints, they are so good that way! They do get expensive though, and I feel like it’s fewer cookies each year. Hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Happy weekend! I live in Canada and we have the Girl Guides – not the Girl Scouts…. and they sell cookies but different ones. Either way – when they are out selling I always pick up boxes. I love! I would love to try the girl scout cookies one day!!

    1. That would be my approach as well, the babies tend to equal opportunist cookie eaters though, so if there is a cookie to be eaten, they want in.

  4. Oh my gosh; congratulations on passing the test! That is so inspiring. What do you teach? How did you get involved in the certification? This is something I’ve been thinking about for a while. Do you have any tips or a blog post about where to start? Congrats again!

    1. Thank you! I don’t have a post about it, but perhaps I will start working on one. I have long been into Fitness and became certified as a personal trainer first. I enjoyed doing that, and started teaching a total body strength class at my gym, I love teaching groups and am hoping to expand into teaching other types of groups. Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. I’m so excited to see you’re doing the group fitness program!! I’ve debated this time and time again…we shall see. Congratulations!! Also, Samoa’s are THE best!
