Hey friends, happy Friday, and cheers to a new month!  I cannot believe we are already a month into 2018!

How was your week?  It has been a good, but busy week for me, with lots of long work days and various house projects.  I am really looking forward to hopefully catching up on sleep this weekend, but before we get there, let’s reflect on the best parts of the week, shall we?

First up, a longtime favorite, and new favorite beverage. So, you may not know this about me, but I am pretty much always thirsty and sipping on something. I drink plenty of plain water, but love to have coffee, tea, sparkling water and other favorite beverages throughout the day. I was super excited to find one of my favorite Kombucha flavors at Fry’s this week. I also had the opportunity to try out some sparkling waters from Voss, which are so refreshing.

Since we have been doing a lot of running around this week, I have also been loving having some grab and go healthy meals and snacks prepped. I snagged these for the babies afternoon snack the other day. They loved them, and I love that they are just fruit and chia seeds.

I have also been loving these protein snack boxes for lunch all week. They are from the What to Eat meal plans, which I will be sharing more about next week. I made several to grab and go during the week and looked forward to eating it each time. I love a good picky lunch.

To continue my all the food trend, I also had a friend date Wednesday night to try out a new ramen place in town. It had been a while since I had ramen and now I remember why it’s a favorite. I could totally go for another bowl now.

I did not snag a picture of it, but the moon on the 31st was so cool. When I left to teach my class it was red and partially eclipsed, so cool to see! If you missed it, you can find some pictures here.

This week, I have also really loved having a pretty steady fitness routine despite the busy days. I have been getting up early to get my yoga practice in every day. Which has been challenging but an awesome start to the day.   Wheel pose is one of our poses this week and is a hard one for me. I don’t think I would choose it every day on my own but have noticed it getting a little easier each day, which is an awesome feeling. I have also been able to squeeze in my usual two OTF classes this week, which has been nice.

I have sadly not gotten to spend as much time catching up with my favorite bloggers this week (looking forward to some blog reading catch up this weekend), but did stumble across a few awesome things online this week.

Need a mood boost?? Check out this Happiness advice from kids post from Yolanda at Put the Kettle On. It is so sweet!

The hubs and I are both big Cajun food fans, and this Instant Pot Gumbo from the Starving Chef looks just up our alley.

I really love this Valentine’s Day handprint art from A Sprinkle of Joy and want to give it a try with the babies.  It is so cute and seems like a manageable craft, even for me.

Now your turn, what are you loving this week?  Any big plans for the weekend/super bowl?  I don’t have much of a connection to either team, but do have a connection to the good ol University of Arizona.  So I will be rooting for Nick Foles and the Eagles on Sunday.

Hope you all have a great weekend, don’t forget to enter the giveaway if you have not already.

  1. I was JUST looking at that kombucha! I’ve been buying 1-2 a week because I love having something bubbly to sip on at night! haha. I haven’t seen those kind bars yet!! They look yummy!

    1. They are pretty good, I especially liked the mango one. I find the ‘buch to be so refreshing. What’s your favorite kind?

    1. Thanks! I go through phases where I drink it a lot and then don’t for a while, I love it though. Hope you have a great day!

  2. Happy Friday! Ya know I still haven’t had kombucha yet. I’m so behind! I’m pulling for the Eagles too…. as Steelers fans it’s the lesser of two evils- lol!

    1. Lol, I was just talking to a friend who is a Steelers fan and she is going Eagles to support the state. Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. Let me know if you do, it is one of my favorite drinks. Each brand/variety is a little different, so there are lots of options to choose from. Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. It is such good comfort food! I have never thought to crack an egg into it at home, I will have to try that.

    1. They are great, right!?! I was happy to have found them. It’s always nice to have a snack in my purse I feel good about giving the kiddos.

    1. Wheel is so hard for me, I am happy I’m seeing improvements in my pose though. Hopefully it will get easier with time. Hope you have a great weekend Ashley!

  3. Those little lunch bowls are a cute, handy idea! I really need to get better with meal prepping things – I do okay with snacks, but it would nice to figure out dinner more. My family is rooting for the Eagles this weekend. 🙂

    1. I find it helpful to prep things I can use for multiple meals, so I may bake up a bunch of chicken and then use it for tacos and chicken salad during the week, or something like that. Hope you have a great weekend!
