Hey friends, happy Friday, and cheers to a new month! I cannot believe we are already a month into 2018!
How was your week? It has been a good, but busy week for me, with lots of long work days and various house projects. I am really looking forward to hopefully catching up on sleep this weekend, but before we get there, let’s reflect on the best parts of the week, shall we?
First up, a longtime favorite, and new favorite beverage. So, you may not know this about me, but I am pretty much always thirsty and sipping on something. I drink plenty of plain water, but love to have coffee, tea, sparkling water and other favorite beverages throughout the day. I was super excited to find one of my favorite Kombucha flavors at Fry’s this week. I also had the opportunity to try out some sparkling waters from Voss, which are so refreshing.
Since we have been doing a lot of running around this week, I have also been loving having some grab and go healthy meals and snacks prepped. I snagged these for the babies afternoon snack the other day. They loved them, and I love that they are just fruit and chia seeds.
I have also been loving these protein snack boxes for lunch all week. They are from the What to Eat meal plans, which I will be sharing more about next week. I made several to grab and go during the week and looked forward to eating it each time. I love a good picky lunch.
To continue my all the food trend, I also had a friend date Wednesday night to try out a new ramen place in town. It had been a while since I had ramen and now I remember why it’s a favorite. I could totally go for another bowl now.
I did not snag a picture of it, but the moon on the 31st was so cool. When I left to teach my class it was red and partially eclipsed, so cool to see! If you missed it, you can find some pictures here.
This week, I have also really loved having a pretty steady fitness routine despite the busy days. I have been getting up early to get my yoga practice in every day. Which has been challenging but an awesome start to the day. Wheel pose is one of our poses this week and is a hard one for me. I don’t think I would choose it every day on my own but have noticed it getting a little easier each day, which is an awesome feeling. I have also been able to squeeze in my usual two OTF classes this week, which has been nice.
I have sadly not gotten to spend as much time catching up with my favorite bloggers this week (looking forward to some blog reading catch up this weekend), but did stumble across a few awesome things online this week.
The hubs and I are both big Cajun food fans, and this Instant Pot Gumbo from the Starving Chef looks just up our alley.
I really love this Valentine’s Day handprint art from A Sprinkle of Joy and want to give it a try with the babies. It is so cute and seems like a manageable craft, even for me.
