Happy Friday friends! How are you today? My apologies if you got an email about this post yesterday. I was having some technical difficulties and accidentally published a very early draft, it was only up for a couple minutes, but the email still went out. Sorry for the confusion!

I feel like it has been quite the whirlwind week, how about you? I am ready to relax a little this weekend and catch up with some friends. The last few weeks have been busy and I am feeling like a very dull girl over here. Before the weekend, let’s hop into some usual Friday Favorites.

First up, shout out to one of my regular MVPs, coffee! I feel that I have really been savoring my coffee all week, at home, at work, and on the go. Not just in that, I need this or routine kind of way, but it has been tasting especially good and has been a nice, soothing moment in my day.

Another soothing thing, having my favorite wonton soup on Wednesday night for dinner. My mouth was still a bit sore from the dentist, and this soup hit the spot.

I also found a new snack I am loving this week. I actually bought these for the kids, but keep finding myself reaching for one. I have always loved the garlic and Herb Laughing Cow wedges, and it makes a great little breadstick dipper.

I listen to the Model Health Show Podcast fairly regularly, but this episode on meditation was just what I needed as I have been struggling with my meditation practice a bit this week.

I really enjoy Paula’s post about self-care and happiness boosters, she includes some great strategies that can be incorporated into regular, day to day life.

I am really looking forward to trying this Instant Pot chicken tortilla soup from Anne at Fannetastic Foods, it looks so good!

I always really enjoy learning about how some of my favorite bloggers got to where they are. Megan shares how she became a nutritionist here.

So friends, what are you loving this week?  Any big plans for the weekend?  We have a birthday party tomorrow I am looking forward to, as well as some family in town.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. So cool that your ‘The laughing cow’ is actually called that. We have ‘La vache qui rit’, which of course means the same, but they refuse to translate here. Love their cheese-stuff though! Also, I’ve never had Wonton soup before, but it looks goooood.

  2. I had to have some Wonton soup this week too! We had a snow storm and I had the cravings for this comfort food!

  3. I love the laughing cow cheese. I need to try those dippers! Hope you have a more relaxing week coming up! Have a great weekend and birthday party. I have no plans

  4. Oh my gosh! I was craving wonton soup last night but had already pulled something out for dinner. After reading this, I know where I’m going for lunch! Yummo!

  5. Thanks so much for including me in the post! That was a fun surprise 🙂
I love that you found time to savor and appreciate your coffee throughout the week. It’s the little things that can really boost a person’s day, but they’re also easy to overlook. It’s so great that you took time to really enjoy it.
No big plans around here – just writing lectures for class all weekend. I’m taking a break for the rest of the afternoon to do some blogging and catching up on everyone’s posts, however, so this is a nice break 🙂
Have fun at the birthday party!

    1. Thanks for the great post! It is amazing how the little things can make sure an impact if you stop to enjoy them. Hope you have a nice weekend!
