Weekend Recap

Hey friends, how’s it going? Did you have a nice weekend? We got some fun family time in, which was very much needed after a busy week. The weekend kicked off with a little pizza date with my momma. It was nice to both catch up and to enjoy some delicious New York style pizza.

Saturday we continued our delicious and indulgent food trend, with a family breakfast out. It has been a while since we had gone to breakfast (more often than not we make something a little special at home on the weekend. We went to a local Mexican spot and I rolled with lunch for breakfast and got the machaca tostadas with rice and beans, along with all the salsa. It was so good!

After breakfast, we also got to introduce the kids to making a wish by throwing a coin in the fountain. They were so excited about it and my little guy took his wish making very seriously.

We were then off to a birthday party at a jumping center. I didn’t even know this place existed, but we the kids had an awesome time jumping and climbing through all the obstacle courses. I had not ever appreciated what workout jumping castles could be, we were all worn out after a couple of hours of play.

Later that day I headed to my 40 Days to Personal Revolution meeting, I will provide an update on how that is going soon.  We have our three-day fruit fast this week, so I want to include that experience as well. In the actual meetings, we have started spending the majority of the time workshopping poses, which I have really enjoyed.

Sunday started with some family park and zoo time. It was a beautiful morning and great to just play with the kids a bit. Some friends were up and came to meet us at the zoo, which was fun.  It turned out that the zoo was having a Valentine’s Day event over the weekend, so the kids free animal themed valentines.  Spontaneous play dates for the win.

The rest of the day we spent relaxing and hanging out with family. I also capped off the day with an evening yoga class, which was a real treat as well.

Now tell me about your weekend? What did you do? Have you been watching the Olympics? I have caught some here and there, but have not been able to sit and watch much.

Hope you have a great day!
