Friday Favorites 3/23/18

Happy Friday friends! How was your week? Any big weekend plans? I have a work event and am also running a 5k with a friend. I have done exactly zero training and the only running I have done in probably the last two months has been in Orangetheory classes, so this may be more of a walk/run affair. Wish me luck!

Now onto favorites. I know I have mentioned this before, but I really love putting this post together each week. I had a few big stressors at the beginning of the week that really got things off to a rough start, and I was feeling pretty negative a lot of the week. Putting this post together really helped me refocus on the positive and start climbing out of my bad mood.

First up, a little ice cream date with the family. On Tuesday, I happened to be stuck in traffic near a Dairy Queen that seemed unusually hopping, turns out it was free cone day! After dinner, the hubs and I loaded up the kids, and off we went to enjoy our cones.

I have also been loving this roller from Physique 57 that came in my last FabFitFun (<-referral link) box. The best thing about it?  My baby girl loves rolling it up and down my back, winning! This has been an especially nice treat as I have made it to Orangetheory Sunday, Monday and Wednesday this week and was definitely feeling a bit sore.

I have also been focusing on maintaining a meditation practice since ending my 40 Days to Personal Revolution program. I have been putting together a little meditation and yoga corner in my room and ordered this sweet little set to hold incense. I still need to get a couple of tea lights for it, but I am so in love with it!

I also tried out a new to me dressing from TJ’s this week. You guys, this stuff is delicious! If you like cilantro I would suggest checking it out.

These Peanut butter protein eggs from Hungry Hobby look amazing! I can’t wait to make these this weekend to help me get ready for Easter.

I love overnight oats, and this strawberry s’more variation sounds great.

Did you know you could bake bread in a crockpot? Me neither, but I can’t wait to try this Crockpot bread recipe. This would be such an awesome way to have fresh bread when it’s a million degrees here during the summer.

  1. I’m so sad I missed free cones at DQ. Although it probably wouldn’t be the same during a Noreaster as it would be in Arizona haha.

  2. I think it’s so cool that you are continuing your meditation! I struggle to find time for mine. Some days I reduce my time from 20 to 15 or even 10 minutes. You go girl!

    1. Thanks! Most days I am trying to squeeze in 10 min, but I feel like even a 5-10 min session makes a huge difference.

  3. Oh, I love that incense set up you have! How relaxing. A friend of mine works at DQ, so she’s not a big fan of free cone day. LOL I’m glad you’re family was able to enjoy it though. Nothing better than an ice cream cone. Yum.


    1. I’m sure it’s hard on the employees. I used to work at a Baskin Robbins and free scoop day was rough.
